In tribute to Mandela’s love for food, Insights serves a selection of his favorite dishes, prepared with care by his long-time personal chef, Xoliswa Ndoyiya.

CURATED ACCOMMODATION
Our one-of-a-kind boutique hotel with 9 curated rooms are a reflection on the extraordinary life of Nelson Mandela and available to add on to your event booking. Guests will find small nods to Madiba’s life in each of the rooms, including photos & letters from important points of Madiba’s life as well as subtle references to some of the historic moments he was involved in.
- Groups smaller than 20 guests can make use of our private meeting rooms for lunches / dinners.
- No limitation to setup time is associated with booking any of the private meeting rooms, and subject to availability.
- Groups bigger than 20 guests are deemed as an event, and exclusive usage applies.
- Set up for Lunch or Dinner bookings may commence from 11:00am.
- Only speeches and soft musical instruments are allowed during the time of private booking.
- Additional setup may include floral arrangements and table décor.
- No additional stage, technical, branding or live entertainment is allowed.
- Lunch is to be deemed finished, latest 16:30 and 22:00 for dinner, thereafter the privacy of our in-house guests needs to be considered.
- Exclusive usage of the house includes 9-bedrooms, pool area, 2 meeting rooms, safe parking for guests as well as free Wi-Fi and restaurant space.
- Personalised branding and additional set up is permitted.
- Set up may commence from 11:00am on the day of the event.
- Live entertainment is permitted, however music volume to be reduced from 22:30 and switched off at 24:00 latest.
- All Technical, additional furniture and extras to be cleared from the property by latest 10:00 on the following day.
In Tribute to Nelson Mandela's Love for Food, our contemporary dining restaurant celebrates Nelson Mandela's profound appreciation for good food by offering a selection of his favorite dishes, crafted with care by his long-time personal chef, Xoliswa Ndoyiya. who served him for over 20 years. From Mandela’s hometown of Ezibeleni, Xoliswa adds authenticity to her cooking and is the author of Ukutya Kwasekhaya and Made With Love. She is available for a memorable lunch or dinner, sharing stories from her time with Mandela.
