Sanctuary Mandela, once the home of Madiba, is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel with 9 curated rooms, 2 meeting rooms, bar area and the contemporary Insights restaurant. In memory of Mandela’s love for food, our dining restaurant serves his favourite dishes as previously (and currently) prepared by his long-time personal chef, Xoliswa Ndoyiya. Our event team is ready to assist to ensure a memorable event at Sanctuary Mandela.

Groups smaller than 20 guests, can enjoy the intimacy of either of our meeting rooms, converted in a dining space. Choose between Dalibhunga that can seat up to 12 guests or Comrade that can seat up to 18 guests.

EXCLUSIVE USE:  RESTAURANT

For groups larger than 20 guests, we offer exclusive usage/private dining in our restaurant. Setup for lunch or dinner bookings may commence from 11:00 AM. Only speeches and soft musical instruments are allowed during the time of the private booking. Additional setup may include floral arrangements and table décor. No additional stage, technical equipment, branding, or live entertainment is allowed. Lunch must conclude by 4:30 PM, and dinner must conclude by 10:00 PM to respect the privacy of our in-house guests.

EXCLUSIVE USE: HOUSE

Exclusive “House” usage offers the entire property for your event. This includes 9 bedrooms, a pool area, 2 meeting rooms, safe parking for guests, free Wi-Fi, and restaurant space. Personalized branding and additional setup are permitted, with setup commencing from 11:00 AM on the day of the event. Live entertainment is allowed; however, music volume must be reduced from 10:30 PM and switched off by midnight. All technical equipment, additional furniture, and extras must be cleared from the property by 10:00 AM the following day.
